I'm baaaacckkk lol. Nah for real, I'm excited to be hosting an online poetry show again. This time around the name has changed but a lot of Poetic Stimulation will still live through this show. I'm a huge fan of the Harlem Renaissance hence my poetic name. The movement. The growth of black art, writers, actors, musicians etcetera all left huge impressions on me. As well as what renaissance means. Being clever and being good at many things. Right now feels like a moment where poetry is going through something similar. There has been an explosion of talent. Powerful voices. Powerful writers. Influential speakers and I want to hear you all right here. Bring your best shit. Whatever the topic. Whatever the issue. Be it social justice or erotic poetry as long as the wordplay is passionate, clever, innovative or raw emotion. Iron sharpens iron as they say. No dull knives allowed! Stop playing and SPIT!
